The ambitious project to convert DFAT's significant print publication into a fully-fledged website was accomplished over a 12-week period. This timeline underscores CRE8IVE’s proficiency in delivering comprehensive digital solutions within a defined schedule.

Engagement

Working with the DFAT team was multifaceted and deeply collaborative. Initially, CRE8IVE and DFAT crafted a brand strategy that laid the foundation for a website design that not only met but exceeded expectations, earning approval at the first presentation. Throughout the project, CRE8IVE maintained a close and responsive liaison with the DFAT team, ensuring all requirements were meticulously met and the communication lines remained open for continuous feedback and updates.

Challenges & Solutions

One of the primary challenges was the transformation of a major print publication into an interactive and easily navigable website. CRE8IVE responded by creating a user-centric GovCMS site, focusing on functional design that facilitated effortless navigation and content consumption. This translated into a platform that was straightforward for users to navigate, with an array of advanced features such as content tagging with pre-filtered search, 16 reusable blocks for admin publishing, inline navigation, and smart content tagging to bolster search capabilities.

Ensuring the website's ease of use, particularly in navigating the comprehensive report, was paramount. To this end, smart design choices (such as Dynamic Floating Table of Content) were implemented to guide users seamlessly through the information.

Another critical aspect was maintaining stringent security standards. Penetration testing was rigorously performed, revealing no compliance issues, which speaks to the secure and robust build of the website.
