Building strength in women through partnership
WOMEN'S LEGAL CENTRE
Women’s Legal Centre (WLC) provides legal and non-legal support and representation to Canberra’s most vulnerable women. Initially they approached us to create a new website however through the strategic and ongoing partnership that developed, we were also able help them to showcase and better promote their programs and practices.
We delivered a communications strategy with tactical recommentations and engagement plan. This included a indepth user research, key messaging, plus brand refinement and a rebuild of their website. We also provided media and PR advice to their team, and designed a range of brand material that would be appropriate for their diverse and broad audiences.
An approachable brand
We modernised the brand to make it welcoming and approachable, while retaining some of the previous visual style. To avoid any triggering visuals we moved away from clichéd imagery and adopted a conceptual illustration style to represent the services and support offered, as well as including law signifiers to keep it in category.

Simple & straightforward
From both a practical and emotional view their clients needed the website to be simple and straightforward. We created an eligibility checker on the website for women to identify whether WLC could help provide the service they required.

Building partnerships
Our work gave WLC wider recognition and increased engagement. We remain their strategic communications partner, providing advice on media enquiries and sponsorship, and developing brand collateral.
