Website Redesigning and Re-built
RSPCA - ACT

The RSPCA-ACT is a pivotal organization committed to the welfare of animals in the Canberra. Tasked with enforcing animal protection laws, offering shelter and adoption services, and engaging the community through educational initiatives.

RSPCA-ACT collaborated with C8.Digital to redesign and rebuild the existing RSPCA-ACT website on a Drupal platform with integration into AnimalOS, Paypal and Stripe. This case study explores the development of their new website focusing on enhancing user experience, ensuring accessibility compliance, and integrating advanced donation functionalities with PayPal and Stripe to facilitate their fundraising efforts.

Challenges

Integration Complexities

  • Salesforce and Payment Gateways: Integrating Stripe and PayPal required detailed planning and extensive testing to ensure seamless transaction processes and data synchronisation.

  • AnimalOS integration: Integrating these specialised systems into the website required custom development and thorough testing to ensure proper functionality.

Custom Blocks: Integrating custom blocks and features specific to the needs of RSPCA-ACT, such as the popup blocks, reusable components, and dynamic content types, custom blocks & pages. Ensuring these features were both robust and flexible for future updates posed a significant challenge.

Security and Performance: Implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive information and ensuring the website loaded quickly and efficiently were paramount.

Donation Integration: Incorporating secure and efficient donation processing capabilities using PayPal and Stripe integration presented its own set of challenges. This integration was required to be both user-friendly but and secure, complying with financial data protection standards with the Salesforce. The challenge was to seamlessly integrate these services into the website's architecture while maintaining a smooth and reliable donation experience for users.
